Sungazer The Bold

Sungazer was the reincarnation of Moongazer, a Wizard of mine in a long ago AD&D campaign. Moongazer was certainly a character in line with the type of character you would expect to find in a Finieous Fingers comic strip (which appeared in the very early Dragon Magazines). Moongazer was always an avid San Diego Chargers fan, which confused his friends because no one else had ever heard of them or even of football or the NFL, but this was somewhat understandable because Moongazer was "not from around here". At one time Moongazer was cursed by the gods and was forced to don the colors of the hated evil Oakland Raiders(Black and Silver)including their helmet. Eventually he earned back the favor of the gods and had his helmet transformed into a Charger helmet, and his colors returned to Blue and Gold. Moongazer also had an inexhaustable supply of what he called the elixer of life, or sometimes Coke-a-Cola, with a chilled bottle appearing in his hands whenever he gesticulated quickly. Unfortunately this slowed down his spell casting at times, but hey, you have to take the bad with the good. Sadly, the Great and Mighty Moongazer was eventually laid low and went to his unjust rewards, but his distraught friends could not let him rest, and thus set about to reincarnate him. They succeeded, but not perfectly, having spent his time in death in black limbo, Moongazer when restored to life became a dreaded "Day Person", and thus took the name Sungazer.

Finieous and Friend

Fineous Fingers was to me the model of the type of gaming I enjoyed the most. Lots of puns and mirth, though at times we would get serious, we never lost sight that we wanted to have fun. I wish there were pages of original Finieous Fingers Comics on the web, but I have been unable to find them, this is the closest I have been able to get, Fin showing how to play the game Heroes of Asfar. It looks like a cool game.
